Dear Church Family,
I hope this email finds you well. While last week's winter storms allowed for some fun snow memories to be had with families, it also caused some damage to the church. There are leaks in both pastor's offices and 3 major leaks in the sanctuary. One leak in the sanctuary saturated the carpet under many pews. There was also a leak that happened over the organ which exposed it to potential water damage. We are working with insurance to get these things looked at and fixed.
Because of the water damage and the necessary interior clean up that needs to happen, we will NOT have in person worship services on Feb 28th and March 7th.

WHO WE ARE
"First United Methodist Church of Alexandria celebrates strong relationships that focus on "Transforming our community by BUILDING relationships that GROW active disciples who SHARE the life lessons of Jesus."
We rejoice in our rich heritage in the heart of the Garden District, and we continue to grow as a vibrant community of faith, hope, and love.
We experience God's grace and seek to grow in our relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ through Prayer, Worship, Bible Study, Sacraments, Fellowship together, Mission, and Service so that we might be those who participate in building God’s Kingdom here on earth.
We value relationships with others, encouraging one another on this journey together, excited about what God is doing in our midst.
We are learning how to “walk on water” with faith, courage, humility, and compassion and would love to welcome you to come and experience the journey of God's amazing grace in your life."
"Absolutely great place to worship! Engaging and inspiring! My husband and I moved here in 2016 and haven’t walked into another church since. We were greeted and welcomed like family! I’m happy to say we will have 2 children grow in faith at this church!"
