Experiencing Life Together

Worship Services

All of our worship services follow the three-year lectionary cycle. The sermons are intended to be applicable in daily life.

Traditional Worship Services

8:30 and 11 a.m.

Our traditional worship services are held in the sanctuary. The music for these services is led by the Chancel Choir and often features the children's choirs and handbell groups.

Contemporary Worship Service

10:40 a.m.

Our contemporary worship service, The Well, is held in the media center, which is located in the Johnson Activities Center. The praise band leads the music for this casual alternative to traditional worship.

Sunday School

Sunday school is available for all ages from 9:40 - 10:40 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

Midweek M.A.S.S.

Meal, Activities, Service & Studies

Each Wednesday night, we offer a communion and worship service at 5:30 in the sanctuary. This abbreviated traditional service is meant to offer a midweek pick-me-up; it features hymns, a sermon and concludes with the Lord's Supper.

Wednesday nights are also busy nights for other activities at First United Methodist. A meal is served from 4:30 - 6:15 p.m., the children's choirs and handchime groups meet at 6 p.m., and various youth and adult Bible studies are available from 6 - 7 p.m. These activities follow the school calendar. In addition, the Chancel Choir and Reign (contemporary praise band) rehearse at 7 p.m.
