First United Methodist Church, Alexandria

First United Methodist Church is a congregation that is experiencing life together. The congregation originally met in 1907 at a downtown church at the intersection of Seventh and Jackson streets and relocated to our current location in the Garden District in 1968. 

We hope that you will browse through our website to learn more about our church, its mission and our ministries. We offer two Sunday morning worship services in the sanctuary at 8:30 and 11:00. A contemporary worship service, The Well, meets at 10:40 on Sunday mornings in the media center, located in the Johnson Activities Center. A communion service is also available each Wednesday afternoon at 5:30 in the Sanctuary.
