Experiencing Life Together

Christmas Cheer

'Tis the season for giving! First United Methodist Church participates in The Shepherd Center's Christmas Cheer program, designed to give presents to children in Cenla who would otherwise have little or nothing to open on Christmas day. Christmas Cheer also provides food for each family to enjoy Christmas dinner.

Over the past 25 years, First United Methodist Church has sponsored more than 3,000 children through Christmas Cheer. We have committed to sponsoring 75 families this year. The Christmas Cheer tree is in the hallway near the sanctuary at church. Anyone who would like to participate can select a name off the tree and purchase gifts for that child. Bring your wrapped gift with the tag from the tree attached back to the tree no later than Wednesday, December 14. This is a wonderful way to bring the celebration of Christmas to a child in need.
